5 County Transition Talks: Discovering Yourself and Your Community (for School Programs) (SRC)

May 10 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

Discovering Yourself and Your Community

Hands reached into the center. MulticulturalWhen we are in high school, we find comfort in the community we live in, have scheduled activities we can participate in, and socialize with people around us in classes, in the hallway, and during lunch. After high school, we get to plan our own schedule, find recreational & leisure activities to participate in, and socialize with new people. The question is, where do we start? Together, we will learn ways to push ourselves out of our comfort zones and fill our schedules with new and fun pastimes in a community of our choice!

Presented by Melissa Holland, New Glarus Special Education Teacher and Transition Coordinator.

Available through your school’s transition program.  The student-focused events are open to students in Green, Grant, Iowa, Lafayette and Rock counties. School transition coordinators should contact Brian Kenney (cell – 608-448-9034 or bkenney@cesa3.org)  to receive the Zoom connection information.
